Welcome In

I’m Anna!

I’m a licensed mental health therapist in Colorado (LPC) and Vermont (LCMHC), offering teletherapy services from my home in Vermont. I’m deeply passionate about the nervous system and the powerful ways it shapes our experiences.

My work is centered on helping clients gently shift stress and trauma out of the body. Through a thoughtful, person-centered approach and evidence-based practices, I guide individuals toward greater regulation, resilience, and connection to themselves.

How I Found My Way to Nervous System-Focused Therapy

Becoming a therapist wasn’t a straight line—it was layered, shaped by life experience, curiosity, and a deep desire to understand what it means to be human.

It began within my own family story. I found myself drawn to the inner workings of family systems—how patterns form, how people relate, and how unspoken dynamics influence the way we move through the world.

Then came 9/11. Like so many others, I witnessed the profound impact it had—not only on individuals, but on my home state and the wider community around me. That moment changed something in me.

It awakened my earlier curiosity — how people relate through terror and fear — it led me to study psychology, and to look more closely at my own history and the stories woven into it. It deepened my commitment to helping people heal the parts of themselves that felt broken, especially in the wake of collective and individual trauma.

That path led me to Colorado, where I pursued a master’s in International Disaster Psychology. There, I studied the complexities of culture, community, and trauma—what it means to be human in the midst of disaster. I trained in settings where suffering was part of the daily fabric, where people were navigating everything from acute crisis to long-term emotional pain. And while I learned so much in those environments, I also began to sense the limitations of a strictly medical model of mental health.

I wanted to go deeper.

I became increasingly drawn to the whole-body experience—what happens not just in the mind, but in the nervous system when we encounter stress, trauma, or disconnection. I began to study how emotions live in the body, how trauma shapes our physiology, and how healing becomes possible when we gently bring the nervous system back into balance.

That’s the heart of my work today. I continue to learn, grow, and explore what it truly means to be human. My approach is rooted in honoring the body’s wisdom, and in helping people reconnect to themselves—not just through insight, but through felt sense, presence, and regulation.

Because healing isn’t just about fixing what you think or feel might be broken. It’s about returning home to yourself—gently, and with compassion.

The Personal Details

I now call the beautiful Green Mountain State of Vermont home, having moved from Colorado in 2019 to be closer to our families in New York. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll often find me soaking up time with my kids, sipping coffee on the porch with my husband, or getting lost in a good book—whether it’s for book club or something diving deep into psychology and nervous system science (my forever favorite).

In the winter, I take every chance I get to hit the slopes. And when the weather warms, I’m usually outside—hiking through the woods with our dog Kipling, out on the water with my paddle board, or tending to my garden, getting my hands in the dirt and reconnecting with the rhythms of the earth.

My Office

Take a gentle “walk” through the space where I hold healing conversations—rooted in presence, inspired by nature, and shaped by the work I love.

Better understand your nervous system so you can have more empowered relationships — with yourself, and those most important to you.
